It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the second

Digital Data Science Meet-Up (http://www.meetup.com/Digital-Analytics/events/226891431/)

on

Thursday, March 17th, 2016.

In this second edition, we are keen to explore the hard-core aspects of data science within the online and arena.

Why do we organize a Digital Data Science Meet-Up?

This meet-up is an initiative of Eduardo Barbaro, currently a data scientist at Mobiquity and Valentina Djoemai, Senior Consultant Digital Analytics at NEWPEOPLE. We all know that data science is leaving its footprint within the digital environment in many companies. However, there’s much discussion and debate about the impact it has in the business, as well as the implementation and usage of its outcomes. Therefore, we bring together specialists on all levels to discuss data science within the digital arena in its broadest sense. For this second edition we are proud to present the following line-up:

Programme:

Roel Moradi (https://nl.linkedin.com/in/roel-moradi-53a391b)

is a Senior Consultant Product and Product Innovation at

Consultants in Quantitative Methods (CQM).

He is an energetic speaker and will present a business case on their Review and Rating Technology models. He currently leads CQMs internal big-data task force. Roel says:

"I love challenges and vague situations where I can make the difference."

Dr. Melanie J.I. Mueller (https://nl.linkedin.com/in/mjimueller)

is a Data Scientist at

Booking.com

She will deliver a great talk about the continuous cold start problem in e-commerce recommender system. Based on her algorithm, Melanie most likely already knows where you're spending your next holidays!

Tamas Szilagyi (https://nl.linkedin.com/in/tszilagyi)

is a Digital Analyst at

Transavia

During his talk, he will answer the following question: "How Transavia Uses Decision Trees to Personalise, Cross, and Up-Sell?" Tamas will dive in detail on Transavia's predictive models and will guide us through their method.

Here's our timetable:
