Digital Health in Primary Care

How can we make it easier for patients to access primary care and GPs, and what are the opportunities for improving the value of the care provided? What are the best ways to leverage new technologies to answer these challenges? How are the disparate problems of patient engagement, interoperability and scaling approached? Speakers

Helen Atherton (http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/med/staff/hatherton/), University of Warwick & University of Oxford. Helen is Assistant Professor at Warwick Medical School, and also holds an honorary position at the University of Oxford at Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences. Her research explores the role of technology in primary care settings, and in particular offers a critical examination of the use of information and communications technologies as tools for delivering primary care to patients.

Steve Lillywhite, Technical Director at webGP (http://webgp.com/). Steve is one of the original founding partners of webGP, which is the telehealth arm of the Hurley Group, the largest network of NHS practices in London, handling more than 800,000 patient consultations every year. He has also overseen the creation and delivery of the webGP platform, a suite of online products to improve patient access, improve health outcomes and deliver cost-effectiveness care.

Matteo Berlucchi, CEO at your.MD (http://www.your.md/).
