Hello wonderful digital health enthusiasts. We hope this email finds everyone well! It's time to schedule one more session for 2018 of the Digital Health series taking place in Thessaloniki with the theme about "Building Intelligent Data Products in Healthcare"
Strategic decisions you make around big data and analytics can play a big role in today’s healthcare climate. Big Data and data science offers many opportunities of building products for the healthcare industry, such as disease identification and diagnosis, crowdsourcing treatment options, monitoring drug response
Join us for an evening of talks from leading data scientists across the health and technology sectors to discuss technologies used to analyze large scale data (Big Data), obtain predictive insight, and exploit business opportunities from data products. Come and meet other data enthusiasts together to foster the exchange of ideas and the intellectual growth of the data community within the healthcare sector. The event will take place in Thessaloniki @Ok!Thess. And of course, the evening will end with a networking session.

About the speakers
Dr. Androniki Menelaou, Lead Data Scientist at ING
Androniki Menelaou is a Lead Data Scientist in the Wholesale Banking Advanced Analytics team of ING. Born and raised in Cyprus, she moved to the UK where she studied Mathematics and Statistics and received a PhD in Statistical Genetics from the University of Oxford. After six years in academia analysing human genomes and their association with complex diseases, she moved to ING as a Data Scientist. There she continued exploring the wealth of information hidden in data. She has worked for three years in the retail domain of ING, focusing on predictive models related to lending. She is now the initiative lead of Katana Lens, an innovation project that develops tools to aid asset managers on their decision process marrying Machine Learning, UX design and cloud solutions.
Dr. Alexander Finlayson, GP and co-founder of Nye
Alexander is a co-founder of Nye, an early stage healthcare company with a big dream to build a health system which maximises welfare and an individual’s ability to flourish. He is also a practicing primary care physician and on the faculty at Oxford University. He was previously a Kennedy Scholar at Harvard University where he studied System Biology and Genetics and was the Head of Research at the King’s Centre for Global Health. In 2008, Alexander started an award-winning health technology company which delivers health system capacity building in fragile states, with a particular focus on Somalia. Most recently MedicineAfrica and partners were awarded the first of UKAID’s flagship global Higher Education programme, Strategic Partnerships in Higher Education Innovation and Reform (SPHEIR). He likes to ski and play the bagpipes.
