KEYNOTES
"The Robots are coming!" - Look around you. Artificial Intelligence is no longer just a futuristic notion, it's here right now—such as software that senses what we need, supply chains that "think" in real time, and robots that respond to changes in their environment. 21st century pioneer companies are already using AI to innovate and grow fast. The bottom line is this: Businesses that understand how to harness AI can surge ahead. Those that neglect it will fall behind. Which side are you on?
The robots are coming. Not to take over though, but to help make our work more human. In the Age of Artificial Intelligence, we find that AI’s real power is helping reimagine business by augmenting, not replacing, human capabilities: “Human + Machine”. In this talk, Stephen Redmond, AI and Big Data Delivery Lead for Accenture Applied Intelligence in Ireland, will talk about:
- Where we are, really with AI, versus the hype
- What is AI and what are the applications
- Why AI is not just about winning board games or game shows, it is a new way of doing business
- What is the reality of the myths surrounding AI
- What businesses need to do now, and into the future
- What are the big challenges that we need to overcome
"The Business Value of Ethics". Emerging technologies are evolving at unprecedented pace and scale, having the potential to impact billions of people’s lives. In this keynote, Arturo Calvo will discuss the current challenges, initiatives and tools to address ethics in research and innovation environments, and the benefits it brings to society and to the businesses. Arturo Calvo is a Technology Architect at Accenture Digital. He is passionate about emerging technologies and entrepreneurship. He founded 3 startups in the past, and he is one of the creators of the open-source tool ethicscanvas.org.
