There is only one thing worse than not having data. And that is: having data. How can you avoid drowning in it? How can you get others on board? How can you make a difference for your organization? We're pleased to welcome two data science experts to tell you all about it!

I. Storytelling through Data

A wealth of data is openly available. The question is how to extract a story from it. Susan will show us open data sources and turn raw data to visual stories. Prepare for some great examples!

Susan Cheatham is an independent data consultant, and has a PhD in particle physics from CERN. She strongly believes that data analysis, reporting and communication skills used in the physics are directly transferable to business.

II. Data powered by Community

Some say you cannot plan for innovation. But you can build a community to foster innovation! Tatsu Ilya will introduce this belief, and why and how he has worked on building a strong Machine Learning community within JTI.

Tatsu studied Medical Engineering & Nuclear Physics and is currently Artificial Intelligence Lead at JTI. He not only wants to leverage data to create beautiful products, but also bring people and communities together in the process.
