Monthly Wine Tastings: Stay tuned for announcements for monthly tastings held in our 100+ year old coach house and heated/enclosed garden. Theme's include favorite varietals, regions, countries, and perfect wines to enjoy for the season. Our Meet-Up members frequently enjoy discounted advance tickets, and/or pre-reserved VIP Meet-Up group areas.
Communal Dining Nights: Show up solo, bring a friend or two (or group), and/or invite friends via social media… then enjoy a three-course experience from Volo Chef/Partner Stephen Dunne’s acclaimed New American seasonal small plate menu paired with boutique wines sure to please your palate (singles and couples welcome). Attendees are seated around Volo's communal table, inside Volo's cozy urban-chic dining room, and start with a wine flight served with a shared hors d’oeuvres course along with other foodies, wine lovers, locals and travelers. Next, they can enjoy Volo customer favorites such as mussels, flatbreads, the latest seasonal small plates, and more, plus house-made dessert and artisan cheeses. Menu Includes: 1 wine flight (three 2.5 oz glass pours of select boutique wines); 1 shared hors d’oeuvres course on arrival; 1 savory small plate; 1 dessert >or< 2 pc artisan cheese course. Tickets are $36 per guest includes tax (gratuity is taken care of individually night of, and additional beverages can be ordered a la carte on individual tabs). Please note, must be 21 or over to attend. "Night of" ticketing does not include tax or gratuity and space is not guaranteed (RSVP and advance ticket purchase via the meet up portal is recommended).
Annual Food & Wine Pairings: Join us in December for our Annual Champagne & Sparkling Wine & Food Pairing (perfect for meet-up and mingle, as well as find great alternatives to pricy Champagnes and pairing ideas), and in January for our Junk Food & Wine Pairing (match your favorite guilty pleasure with it's ideal wine). Advance ticket purchase recommended as these events can sell out.
About the Owners: Volo Chef/Partner Stephen Dunne has worked in celebrated restaurants in New Orleans, Las Vegas, & San Francisco in addition to training at the 3-Star Michelin Restaurant Lucas Carton in Paris. Once arriving in Chicago, he took over as Sous Chef at Spago, and eventually became chef at the celebrated MK. He & Managing Partner Jon Young, a Chicago restaurant scene veteran (Maggiano’s, Centro, Cafe Ba Ba Reeba, P.J. Clarke’s, Kitsch'n On Roscoe) joined forces in 2005 to open Volo Restaurant Wine Bar, their chef-driven / boutique wine dining spot with an acclaimed #1 Hidden City Patio (Chicago Magazine).
