DYSG Book Club with Davina Anderson
In the spirit of tradition for the Yule season, our reading selection is The Old Magic of Christmas: Yuletide Traditions for the Darkest Days of the Year by Linda Raedisch. “Not so very long ago, Yuletide was as much a chilling season of ghosts and witches as it was a festival of goodwill. In The Old Magic of Christmas you'll find a Christmas bestiary and a White Witch's herbal, as well as tips for delving more deeply into your relationship with the unseen. Bring the festivities into your home with cookie recipes and ornament making while brushing elbows with veiled spirits and discovering the true perils of elves. Rife with the more frightful characters from folklore and the season's most petulant ghosts, this book takes you on a spooky sleigh ride from the silvered firs of a winter forest to the mirrored halls of the Snow Queen.” (source: This forum is designed to create a safe environment where we can come together to talk about the book we read and have discussion about our reading experience. Books are portals to allow exploration of higher consciousness. Even if you have previously read the title you are encouraged to join us. We meet monthly on the third Saturday of every month at Discover Your Spiritual Gifts (DYSG) located at 5808 S Rapp Street, Suite 275 in downtown Littleton, Colorado. Our discussion will run from 8:00 am to 9:30 am with coffee and treats. Our club will have a membership fee of $5 per meeting. Books may be purchased at DYSG, and this title has already been ordered. If you purchase the book from the center, then your membership fee will be waived for the month so make sure to reserve your copy. Our meetings will be posted on the DYSG calendar and on meet up. If you have questions about the book club or would like to suggest a title for reading, please contact Davina Anderson, the book club facilitator, at [masked]. I look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, December 15th. Our next meeting will be January 19th, and we will be reading The Moses Code by James F. Twyman.
