2022 Lower Mountain Fork River Float Trip

Needs a location

The third annual float trip is on!
Believe it, or not, this will be our third trip, which will be hosted by myself and my wife Jana.
My name is Curtis Cagle and I will be your trip captain. I have been down this river many times, and it is always fun and relaxing. Here is a short description that includes important details about this trip.

Come and join me, and others, on a trip down the Lower Mountain Fork River in SE Oklahoma! You have the choice of canoeing or kayaking down this beautiful stretch of the river.
The town of Broken Bow is very close by, where you can stock up on food and other necessities for the river. Lodging options include a motel in Broken Bow, cabin rental in the surrounding area or camping in Beavers Bend State Park, which is about 10 miles north of the town of Broken Bow. We will float down the river at a stretch of approximately 8 miles. We will meet at the outfitter, early to mid-morning, the day of the launch. I am providing a hyper link video, below, that showcases the lake, spillway, the town of Broken Bow, and beautiful views of the river.

The drive to Broken Bow will take approx. 4 to 4 1/2 hours. The distance is about 250 miles, from OKC. Almost all of it is interstate or divided highway. Take I-40 East out of OKC to the Indian Nation Turnpike; (located near Henryetta), and go south on the Turnpike to the Antlers exit. At this exit, stay to the right. Take highway 3 to the town of Broken Bow.

My wife and I, will be staying at the Perch Cove cabin, which is located
near the intersection of Neeson Wood Lane and highway 259. It is about 1/4 mile from the intersection of highway 259 and 259A; (first entrance to Beavers Bend State Park). Please email me at [masked], so I can send you email attachments, with further trip details, directions, updates, and maps as they become available.
