A landmark coming-of-age novel that remains a transformative work more than forty-five years after its original publication. In bawdy, moving prose, Rita Mae Brown tells the story of Molly Bolt, the adoptive daughter of a dirt-poor Southern couple, who boldly forges her own path in America. With her startling beauty and crackling wit, Molly finds that women are drawn to her wherever she goes—and she refuses to apologize for loving them back.

A casual gathering for gay men on the second Sunday of the month for fun and stimulating discussions about quality gay literature. Books are selected by participants several months in advance, and the only requirements for attending are to RSVP, to bring food or a beverage to share, and to have read a substantial part of what’s being discussed. Arrive as early at 6:00, discussion begins at 6:45 and ends by 8:30.
