We're moving the book discussion online for April and possibly longer. Once you RSVP, you'll get instructions on various ways to connect, including and audio-only option and logging in without having set-up an account.

6:00 to 6:30 is for people who aren't familiar with using Zoom to work on getting logged in properly. From 6:30 to about 6:45, we'll chat and see how everyone is doing. The book discussion starts at 6:45.

From The New Yorker: "Buttigieg’s stirring, honest, and often beautiful book is a story of how the people of South Bend rebuilt their Rust Belt city, and made it a better place, and it’s an argument for what it means to answer a calling, and why it’s important to ask, again and again, ‘what each of us owes to the country.'”

From The Guardian: "The best American political autobiography since Barack Obama’s Dreams from My Father.... Buttigieg writes unusually well for a politician.... Is it too much to imagine that America could elect a gay president? I don’t think so.... Especially a man like this.”

The book group is casual gathering of gay men on the second Sunday of the month: we have fun and stimulating discussions about quality gay literature while sharing a potluck meal. Books are selected by participants several months in advance, and the only requirements for attending are to RSVP, to bring food and/or a beverage to share, and to have read a substantial part of what’s being discussed.

If you're coming, please add a "comment" on this page saying what you'll be bringing for the potluck so we're less likely to end up with only one type of food. The potluck's not a cooking competition, and store-bought food is fine!

Gather at 6:00 for potluck; discussion begins at 6:45 and ends by 8:30.
