Wednesday, November 28th: Keep Signing Up even if it says we are fully booked up! You will be automatically put on the waiting list!! And if you can't get in, afterwards we will all be going to the Rooftop Bar Empire Hotel at 44 W. 63rd St at Broadway (they are expecting us!) to talk with the speakers and fellow entrepreneurs and any Disrupter can come!!

New: Disruptive Technologists First Meeting!!!

Collaborating with NYIT’s Entrepreneurial Center, we are now signing up people for a Very Disruptive Meeting on November 28th in the NYIT auditorium at 16 W. 61st. We will hold our inaugural Meetup to celebrate, support, enlighten and advise each other on having game-changing new products, wacky ideas, wildly entrepreneurial visions and then getting them to fruition. This will be a major mentoring group for people interested in succeeding in their ideas with exceedingly wise, inspirational and funny speakers and presenters.

Disruptive Technologists' Meetup #1 will feature some amazing speakers: Some of the most admired organizers that are experts in there niches will share and discuss trends in their areas, why their area is significant and innovative, and what entrepreneurs, innovators and students can learn by attending their events.

  1. Murat Aktihanoglu, Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator :

Murat is an engineer, author and technology entrepreneur. A tireless force on the NYC tech startup scene, Murat founded the Entrepreneurs Roundtablein 2007. The organization, which holds monthly “short pitch” format meetings connecting investors with promising startups, has created active and engaged communities New York City, Philadelphia, Turkey and Japan, with India and China coming soon. He is a frequent speaker at technology and entrepreneurship conferences and panels, such as Mobile Marketing Association Forum, Monaco Media Forum, Ultra Light Startups, Siggraph and New York Entrepreneur Week. He is an advisor at MIT Enterprise Forum, Standard Start, Girls In Tech and the Turkish Women’s International Network.

2. Nelly Yusupova, Webgrrls International:

Nelly Yusupova is the CTO of Webgrrls International, Chapter Leader of NYC Webgrrls, and Founder of Digitalwoman.com and TechSpeak for Entrepreneurs. Just recently included in Fast Company's, "League of Extraordinary Women", Nelly has been at the forefront of the women’s movement online since 1999 and is a Wall Street Journal’s “Woman on the IT Fast Track”. She is a technical strategist, an Internet, social media, and marketing expert and consultant. Nelly works with entrepreneurs and teaches them how to use and leverage technology in their business. Nelly is a speaker and presenter for many organizations including Women’s Enterprise Center, Mom 2.0, BlogWorld, and has been featured in TechRepublic’s Women’s Radio.

3. Steve Rosenbaum, NY Video Meetup:

Steve Rosenbaum the CEO of Magnify.net, focuses on the rapidly emerging space known as TV 2.0 and Curated Video Content. He created the MTV UNfiltered and "7 Days in September" and had his first book CurationNation (McGraw Hill) in 2011.

4. Joe Rubin, Funding Post:

Joe Rubin is a Director and Co-Founder of FundingPost.com. FundingPost has been introducing entrepreneurs to investors nationwide for over 10 years through its Online Venture Exchange, Dealflow Magazine and organizes Venture Capital and Angel Investor Conferences in 20 cities nationwide. Joe is responsible for the FundingPost.com's operations, and runs the largest online annual business plan competition, Pitching Across America. He spends much of his time coaching and helping early-stage companies. He is also a Founding Member of ARC Angel Fund, a seed technology fund based in NYC.

5. Joanne Scillitoe, NYIT's Center for Entrepreneurism

Joanne L. Scillitoe, Ph.D. is the Director, Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and associate professor of Entrepreneurship in the School of Management at NYIT.

All of our events are held at NY Institute of Technology's 11 Floor Auditorium at 16 West 61st St. on Nov 28th at 6:30. Only 92 people can attend, we would love to have students come – especially you in the entrepreneurial studies, graduate studies and technologists in a broad range of fields – bio, fashion, technology, science, healt. If you sign up and there is any change in your schedule, please let us know ahead of time that you can’t make it, so we can let others on the waiting list have your seat.
