I would like to gather people working within software development to talk about diversity and inclusion and how we can work with it. Topics of discussion would include: - Hiring processes - Building an inclusive culture - Unconscious bias - Communication patterns Anyone interested is welcome!
Welcome to another meetup in Diversity & Inclusion!
This time we will talk about Imposter Syndrome! The doors will open at 17:30 and we aim to start at 18:00, so be sure the be at the location before then to grab some food and drinks, curtesy of Meltwater who is hosting the event.
We will start of the evening with a presentation:
THE IMPOSTER SYNDROME by Niall Burkley
"The Imposter Syndrome is something that affects many developers regardless of years of experience, but it’s not something people talk much about (apart from anonymous posts on Hacker News - then everyone’s an expert).
I’d like to give a (non-technical) talk about it."
After the presentation, for those who wish, we will discuss the Imposter Syndrome a bit more, using some exercises.
Of course there will also be time for more general discussions!
Would you like to speak at or host a future meetup? Don't hesitate to reach out to the event organiser! We are always looking for help :)
