What we're about

This is a meetup group that focuses on coping strategies and wellness support for individuals in the process of a contentious divorce with a narcissistic spouse. This is a meetup group to provide new friendships and facilitate honest discussions for people experiencing the difficulties associated with divorcing an emotionally and verbally abusive spouse. Members must be already separated and in the process of a divorce. The purpose of this meetup is to discuss coping strategies and practice putting those strategies into action. Divorce can be traumatic and isolating. Let's do our best to make it a time for setting healthy boundaries, encouraging personal growth through sharing, and rebuilding our social lives through friendship.

This meetup is open to residents of Arlington County, City of Falls Church, Fairfax County, and City of Alexandria only PLEASE. Perhaps in time we will expand to DC area or open sister meetups. Members MUST attend a meetup within two months of joining. Members who have been inactive for over 3 months will be removed from the group. These measures are necessary to encourage active participation and confidentiality....also to discourage lurkers and trolls. : ) Thanks for understanding.

Please Note: We please be aware....
This is not a mental health support group.
We are not providing counseling or mental health services.
We are not a support group for individuals considering separation and/or divorce. We are not a support group for victims of domestic violence because such a complex and potentially dangerous situation should be handled by professionals.

If you are experiencing a crisis or are in danger and need assistance...please call 911 and/or the hotlines .
