DockerCork Meetup Jan 2018 with NGINX

We are excited to announce our first Meetup of 2018 in conjunction with NGINX. We have an awesome Meetup up for you! We have a great line-up of speakers and a great venue in Workbench, Patrick Street in Cork City.

On the night Ian Roche from Dell will deliver an overview of how Dell IT is embarking on a radical DevOps transformation to deliver faster with better quality for their customers. Ian will discuss the various approaches, challenges, and the do’s and don’t’s of DevOps in a large Multi-National corporation such as Dell.

We will also have Michael Pleshakov, Platform Integration Engineer, from NGINX join us to talk about HTTP load balancing on Kubernetes. Michael developed the NGINX Kubernetes Ingress controller and will discuss how to configure load balancing for a web application using a Kubernetes Ingress resource and how to deploy and use NGINX Ingress controller.

Finally we will be doing a hands on demo on the night so bring your laptops! Wait there's more ... We will have a handful of NGINX Swag to give away :) Greg Bernas started his developer carrier in beginning of 90’s on Commodore64. He loves to explore new things and technologies. He has a deep knowledge in System Engineering and Software Solutions Architecture in a modern approach. He in working with .Net, Azure, Docker and MongoDB. He was a part of bespoke IoT solutions created within ActionPoint and now he is Software Manager at Antaris Consulting.
