Docker Hack Week Special

Every year Zalando organises a Hack Week, where every Zalando technologist pauses their daily business to pursue an idea or project that somehow contributes to our business or work culture. Therefore it is the perfect time of the year for Zalandos to play, prototype, and experiment with new technologies.

During this year’s Hack Week (19.12. - 22.12) we’ve scheduled a Hack Week special Meetup with talks about the usage of docker-compose as well as a presentation of the ideas behind our Hack Week, including some exciting Hack Week and general Open Source projects.

Michael Dürgner will bring you closer the concepts behind Zalando’s Hack Week by showing some exciting projects. Additionally he gives you an overview in general about Zalando’s most influential open source projects.

19:30 Usage of docker-compose to simulate complex environments locally

Lena Brüder and Hendrick Mittrop will show you based on some small ‘X-mas’ - services how you can use docker-compose to simulate complex environments (like a complex microservice architecture deployed on AWS) locally to test the interaction between them.
