Speaker: Amit Shukla
Brief Bio:
Amit works on Container Orchestration and Storage at Docker. He came to Docker from Twitter, where he led the Data Infrastructure team and worked on data storage, caches, streaming compute systems, messaging and a log search system. He also built from scratch and led the Twitter Ads mobile team for the past year+, with significant contributions to the Ads business. Prior to Twitter, he spent 10 years working at Microsoft on SQL server, where he worked on different parts of the stack from storage and high availability to query processing and object relational layers.
Amit enjoys hiking and travel. He lives in Redwood City with his wife and 2 kids.
Target audience : Developers who are interested in learning more about the basics of how images, storage and volumes work in Docker, and how to handle data persistence for applications as they change, spin up and spin down and move across environments.
