Operating Containers at Scale at T-Mobile
T-Mobile runs hundreds of Docker containers in production supporting applications and services to our 72 Million customers. The cloud team at T-Mobile has built a multi-tenant environment for development and deployment of microservices. T-Mobile will demo the automated build and deployment environment with blue-green deployment.
Come see how we emphasize observability with extensive monitoring using open source tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and other components.
We’ll demonstrate how we have containerized our build process which runs 300-600 containers per day and show how we have used our container platform to run Serverless applications across platforms. We’ll show how we use Mesos with Marathon, Zookeeper, Consul with other integrations and we’ll show how we are incorporating Kubernetes into our container toolset.
Speakers
Thom McCann: Sr. Manager at T-Mobile in the Cloud Center of Excellence. Responsible for managing our cloud orchestration environment, cloud workloads, insights and financial performance.
Amreth Chandrasehar: Sr Architect, Software responsible for cloud workloads and Cloud Container Platform.
Yogesh Sharma: Principal Software Developer who built the first shared Mesos cluster at T-Mobile. Primarily developer for the Cloud Container Platform.

Docker's impact on IoT
In 5 years we may look back on Docker as having had its biggest impact on IoT. The team at resin.io (http://resin.io/) will talk through the many ways in which Docker is ideally suited for use "out in the field" on resource-constrained devices associated with use cases such as industrial lighting, energy, transportation, and more. This talk will include a demonstration and a deep dive on real world projects.
