Docker Monthly Meetup - November

Welcome back to our monthly meetup for November. This will be the last one for 2018 as our next one would fall directly in the Christmas period. The meetup this month will be a little different - we are trying a new venue in Portsmouth in response to some of the feedback we've received.

For the talk this month we have Musa Hamwala and Thomas Leah from the NodeJS IBM team talking about Cloud Native NodeJS.

The presentation will cover how fundamental performance characteristics of Node.js make it ideal for building high performance microservices for a number of workloads. Translating that into highly responsive, scalable solutions however is still far from easy. This session will not just discuss why Node.js is a natural fit for microservices, but will introduce you to the tools and best practices for creating, building, deploying, monitoring and tracing microservices (Including Docker and Kubernetes) that are both scalable and fault tolerant, and show through a live demo how do that with minimal effort.
