H5P is an online eLearning authoring tool that publishes to HTML5 which is mobile friendly. It is perfect for designers requiring reliable responsive design results. H5P is an open community with the aim of sharing H5P libraries globally. New features and functional enhancements have been released at steady clip since its inception just a few years ago.

In this one-hour presentation, the participants will view samples of H5P learning objects. The process of getting up and running as a developer will also be outlined. Finally, the presenter will demonstrate the building of a learning object using H5P.

John Allan produces H5P learning objects for New Media Language Training in Ottawa, Canada. He has been integrating technology with instruction and training at a variety of colleges/organizations for a few decades. He is an “edtech” blogger, writer and workshop leader.
