Genoa-Jacks Valley Open Distance Run
Details
Come check out one of the best views in the valley! This is an amazing run, and it's a great one to knock out a long run if that's your goal... Thanks to Tara and Diana for joining me last week!
Here's the details:
Let's meet at 9am Sunday morning at Mormon Station Park in Genoa. There are plenty of parking stalls right in front of the park. 9:15am will be time to take-off to give everyone a chance to get woken up and over there. If you could let me know the distance you are planning on running that will give me an idea of where you'll be turning around. This is an out and back course. I will be running 21 miles this weekend in preparation for my upcoming marathon (Big Sur) May 1st. So that makes 10.5 miles out and 10.5 miles back for me. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO RUN ANY DISTANCE YOU WANT.
The course is really simple:
-
Start at Main Street
-
Run North on Foothill/Jack's Valley Road
-
Turn around at any point to get you the mileage you want for this week's run.
Hope to see you Sunday! Please RSVP if you can make it and make a comment about the distance you plan on running.
"You have to wonder at times what you're doing out there. Over the years, I've given myself a thousand reasons to keep running, but it always comes back to where it started. It comes down to self-satisfaction and a sense of achievement." - Steve Prefontaine
Happy Running,
Jessica
