List some of the things that you have liked about other spiritual communities that you've attended?

I've been an active participant at the Yellow Springs (Ohio) Dharma Center for several years and consider myself to be a spiritual seeker. I love the Buddhist community in the Dayton area, but I'm always looking for kindred spirits.

What has been the most inspiring or transformational book, video, etc. in your life?

Wow, there are too many to list! I love Pema Chodron, Eckhart Tolle, Louise Hay, the Dalai Lama, Ram Dass, the Insight Meditation group, to name but a very few.

I'm Karen from Dayton, looking for alternative spiritual teachings and discussions since the "organized" stuff has always come up short for me. Love Louise Hay and Eckhart Tolle, and looking forward to meeting the group.

What Karen is saying about this Meetup Group

This is what I've been looking and asking for, a group of kindred spirits that are intelligent and open minded on things spiritual without being too "woo woo." This group explores caring for and healing BOTH the body and the soul, not just the benefits of spiritual self care, but also nutrition and listening to your body. VERY different from other groups I've been to. As a medical professional, I feel that too many spiritual groups totally neglect the dwelling place of the mind. This group really strikes a good balance. I've been having a hard time overcoming feeling lost and sad since Dad died, and I could literally feel the energy of this group healing me. I felt so energized on the drive home. I can't wait for the next meetup!
