walking, playing, and ages

Okay, I'm still learning all the meetup tools.  I'm trying to reset the morning walks to Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. and I don't know for certain how to delete the earlier scheduled recurring meetups for walking.  So...bear with me as I figure that out.  Also, if any of you want to start a Dragonfly walking group in your area, let Jo or me know what days, times, locations you want, and one of us will schedule it as a recurring event on the calendar for you and name you as host (I know how to do that, finally!).

And, to reiterate...other than the walking group, and writing group, only one of our events has been my idea.  If you live further away and want to do something closer to home, and you don't see anything on the Dragonfly calendar that interests you, and want to schedule something fun or want your own walking group, send Jo or me a message and we'll get it on the calendar for you.  The drumming circle, the lunch at Sweet Baby Janes in Hemmet, and the tea in Murrieta were all ideas from members.  So, although I'll get with Jo to plan some fun things for us, feel free to jump in if you want to do something specific in your neck of the woods. The group was started in Hemet, but we have wonderful women from other areas, too, and want everyone to be included.

A note on ages:  The single reason I originally set a lower age limit of 50 is that I know it's generally more difficult for older women to make friends. There's quite a few "girlfriend groups" out there for women in the 20s and 30s, but none in this area for those who may not feel comfortable partying with the 20 year olds, or may not even be welcome to join.  But, we do have dragonflies who are in their 40s, too.  I'd hoped this would be a group for more mature women who are still active and fun, but we don't mean to exclude someone just because they are younger than 50.  If you know someone younger who might enjoy spending time with us, please let them know they are welcome.  We have no upper limit on age, either.  I know some older women who are a kick and I'm hoping to get a few more into the group.  Women of all ages share many things in common, and Dragonflies create wonderful relationships with other women no matter their ages.
