Hyde Park and Holland Park

This tour will be taking place in two of londons parks in the west end Hyde park and Holland park - which are around Bayswater and Kensington with a short bus ride in-between. We'll be meeting at Knightsbridge tube station on the piccadilly line and beginning our sketching near the entrance of Hyde park across the road from the station. We'll be spending around an hour here depending on how early everyone gets to Lancaster gate - if everyone gets there on time we'll stay longer. Next we'll take a walk through the park towards Kensington Road - this should take around 15 mins - and stopping by the Albert Memorial. This is near the entrance at Kensington Road , and just on the other side of the road is the Royal Albert Hall. Again we'll stay roughly an hour, or perhaps longer depending how early we start and how quick we're going - preferably I would like to stay longer if we can. For our final trip we'll be going to Holland Park not as grand as Hyde park, but a little easier on the feet as everything is in closer proximity. We came here last year and I remember it being a particularly good spot to sketch people. Two notes about this trip, we'll be starting 1/2 hr earlier at 10.30 AM and we will be starting at 10.45 sharp. The 15 minutes is to allow anyone to catch up whos late. If you arrive after 10.45 AM the group will be near by so don't let it put you off. Our first stop is near the entrance to Hyde park that is just across the road from our meeting point -which is Lancaster Gate tube station. The second thing to note is to consider bringing a packed lunch. There is a supermarket near the bus stop at Holland park, but you may get hungry before. There maybe places in and around Hyde park, but I don't know of any for certain, nor that I can recommend. Drawing is hard enough, let alone when your feeling hungry so pack a few snacks on the way just in case.
