Previously, Mark spent 5 years doing this for Amazon Web Services (AWS), and before that, he enjoyed a couple of years at Cloudera, preceded by five years with VMware. In his career Mark has done a number of other interesting things, ranging from software development to running a bar at a Colorado ski resort. Bio: Niamh Fiona O’Byrne, Certification Manager, Confluent Niamh Fiona O’Byrne leads Confluent Certification. Over her career, O’Byrne has been responsible for the creation and launch of multiple programs including those at Allaire, Macromedia, PTC, Pegasystems, Motorola, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Docker and most recently at Confluent, Inc. Bio: Barry Ballard, Senior Technical Trainer, Confluent Barry has been involved with the IT market in various aspects, starting in Geographic Information Systems, moving to a couple of large-scale computer storage companies, a large cloud provider and finally landing at Confluent. The majority of his time has been post sale professional services, mostly “Fly and Fix” where telephone support can no longer provide adequate support, so he went on site and worked shoulder to shoulder with the customer to get issues resolved. Though training and educating customers has been a constant part of his career, he decided to do technical training exclusively over the past 8 years, with companies such as EMC, AWS and Confluent.
