18:30 Introduction

18:45 GraphQL and Android by Mark Murphy (remote)

GraphQL is an up-and-coming alternative to REST as a way to implement a Web service... which means that, before too long, you are going to be asked to connect an Android client to some pre-existing GraphQL server, one that is already being used to power a Web app. In this session, we will explore GraphQL's role and how to retrieve and modify data onGraphQL-powered servers from Android clients.
No prior experience in GraphQL is required. Android app development experience is recommended, particularly in using HTTP client libraries (e.g., OkHttp) or REST client libraries (e.g., Retrofit) for working with Web services.
