Drop-in Painting Sunday

Invitation for local Bay Area artists to take part in our ongoing painting workshop:

If you’re looking to grow as an artist, need feedback, or are looking for a new direction, this might be your perfect opportunity. Whether you work with oils, acrylics, watercolors or pastels ... you are welcome to drop in and bring your paints and painting with you, or a blank canvas.

The class is instructed but relaxed and self-paced, and we will assist you technically, conceptually and compositionally in every way. Dickson Schneider (the instructor) works with each artist individually and the class has all manner of feedback - from assignments, to conceptual discussions about your direction, to the particulars of the piece you are making.

Wednesdays from 7-10pm

Sundays from 3-6pm

Instructor: Dickson Schneider

Dickson Schneider has taught at California State University East Bay for 15 years, over 25 different classes - Painting, Drawing, Art History and seminars on contemporary art. He is an accomplished artist in many different media, including Oils, Acrylics, and Egg Tempera as well as video and digital art. One of his activities is visiting the art world in person and in the past six years he has been to New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Berlin, Munich, Portland, Seattle (and more) visiting the particular art scenes there. This first hand look at the contemporary art world has enriched and shaped his own work as well as his teaching.
