What we're about

Meet other local Hand-Drummers who are interested in creating community through the rich history of Africa and its people. Drum Circles are a great way to stay connected to our inner rhythms. Please join us with any drum you have or with your dancing feet! We also welcome singers and griots; stringed instruments and flutes. Come help create a healing African village here in Boston! With respect to life.

FEEDBACK

“Great fun! Good rhythms. Very accommodating leader and group for this beginner. Will be back!”Adrienne S 10/14

"I had a great time, but I got home and tried some of the beats so I could hear how they sounded on my "toy" djembe (couldn't hear in the room), and I ... Thanks for a great time! Really great energy in the room, and great people too. Fred A. 6/21/13

"It was a purely joyful night. I was nervous having never drummed before and yet you made me feel so comfortable. The stories were an awesome bonus. Thank you so much best night I've spent in a long time. Can't wait till the next gathering." BB 10/22/16

"I am more than ever convinced, from my experience with you (Alan) and others at the DrumConnection over the past 20 years, that the work we do with these West African hand drumming rhythms and the sense of community and fellowship generated as we share through the music, brief though it may be, is an integral part of this current world wide transformation - where each individual drummer contributes to the greater benefit of all."
