Drupal Austria

Let’s keep the momentum going! Following the interest shown during our short discussion on the "Future of Drupal Austria" at Drupal's 25th Birthday Party, we are establishing a dedicated working group to move forward with the ideas gathered: the Drupal Austria Marketing Initiative.

We have scheduled our first kick-off meeting to structure these thoughts and define our path forward.

• Location: To be determined (Hybrid)

The physical location depends on the number of participants. We will confirm the venue and send the video link for remote participants after the RSVP deadline. It will very likely be within Vienna.

🎯 What to expect
At the birthday party, we touched on several potential focus areas during our brainstorming session. The goal of this first meeting is to collectively decide which topics we want to prioritize and how we want to tackle them as a group.

Topics on the table include:

• Visibility: Strengthening Drupal's brand awareness in Austria compared to other CMSs (e.g., WordPress).
• Target Audience & Membership: Defining who we want to reach and refining membership benefits, including free membership options for students and young people.
• Education: Expanding the "Drupal in a Day" workshop format which saw great success at DrupalCon Vienna. (We are looking for trainers!)
• Outreach: Representing Drupal at events and trade fairs outside of our usual IT "bubble" (e.g., Tourism fairs) to reach industries that need our services.
