What we're about

Drupal Providence is a monthly meetup focused on all things Drupal. We meet in downtown Providence at the headquarters of Oomph, Inc at 72 Clifford Street.

We host featured presentations, lightning talks, development challenges, open source contributions or an open forum to just talk Drupal. Our goal is to bring our local Drupal community together to network and collaborate.

Food and beverages are made available.

Featured Presentation: How to Fall in Love with Drupal Again

Drupal is a couple years away from being 20-years-old. In this talk, Matt Westgate will earn his 2275 user_id from drupal.org and share his high, low, and funny moments with Drupal and offer practical advice for anyone feeling burnout or uncertain about Drupal and the future. Matt Westgate is the Co-Founder and CEO of Lullabot, one of the foremost strategy, design, and Drupal development companies for large-scale publishers of household-name websites. Lightning Talks: Drupal & Wordpress Combined Meetup

At this meetup, we're teaming up with the Rhode Island Wordpress Meetup Group! All attendees are encouraged to discuss a brief topic with the group. Topics are not formal and do not need to be prepared prior to the meetup. Not sure what to talk about? Here are some ideas: * Talk about something cool you're working on currently * Discuss something you've recently learned * Ask a question to a problem you're trying to solve There is no agenda or structure for these talks but please focus your lightning talk to be no longer than 10 minutes in length. This is a time for group collaboration! Food and beverages will be available to all who attend.

Drupal Contribution Night

Join us as we will spend the evening contributing to projects on Drupal.org. We will work in groups to fix issues in modules, profiles, and themes. This is a great opportunity to learn how to contribute to Drupal and earn contribution credit on your Drupal.org profile. Things you will need: * A computer with a running instance of Drupal * A Drupal.org account * General understanding of git and composer Food and beverages will be available for all who attend.
