The next applied maths meetup will be held in the Riot Games office from 6:30pm on Thursday 5th March 2020.

We'll have 4 speakers, each will have the floor for about 20 minutes to talk about a topic related to applied maths.

Elizabeth Hunter (TUD) will give a talk on the mathematics of contagion and modelling infectious diseases.

Dr Eoin Murphy of Riot Games will give a talk about the Magic of Bootstrapping.

Philip Kinlen will talk about the mathematics of space elevators, which are probably the most interesting thing that you could do with a carbon nano-tube 50,000km long.
