Welcome to the Dublin Kaggle Meetup.
Kaggle (www.kaggle.com) hosts regular data science competitions for teams of 1 or more Kagglers to form and compete to produce the best models for data science problems.
Companies, researchers, charities and other groups post their problems with sample training and test datasets, often with significant cash prizes for the winners.
It's a lot of fun and most of all a great way to meet other folks interested in data science and learn by working on real problems.
