Festive Meetup in the pub
The South Strand - JD Wetherspoon, 1 Hanover Quay, Dublin, D, IE
As the Festive period is quite busy with friends, family (and possible travel) I am moving the monthly meetup in the pub. This will be the last one of the year :D

We will try to secure a table downstairs in the venue in order to keep the location consistent.

New people who know nothing about Linux are welcome and encouraged to attend, please don't be shy.

If you are new please feel free to approach one of the organisers, and we'd be only happy to help explain things as best as we can, we honestly don't mind and don't judge. We were new once ourselves :)

Please note that in general, these are adult friendly meetups, therefore, we are not responsible for those under 18 in attendance. We may have events targeted at children in the future.

As with any Meetup, please try to stick to your RSVP or change it to No if you can't come.

We’re delighted to share and welcome back a beloved tech community tradition in collaboration and hosted by Dogpatch Labs, the 2025 Tech Community Table Quiz, organised by long-time champions Declan McGrath, Michael Twomey and Vicky Twomey-Lee (Irish Geeks).
Even better, this event will be in aid of the Dublin Simon Community, with all proceeds going directly to those who need it this winter season.
What began as a grassroots gathering has become a festive favourite — bringing together developers, designers, founders, and enthusiasts for an evening of light-hearted trivia, friendly rivalry, and charitable giving. We’re excited to keep the tradition thriving by joining us as Dogpatch Labs open up their Urban Garden for a special Christmas edition.
Dust off your cheesiest Christmas jumper, gather your sharpest teammates, and get ready for a fun, festive night of community and connection.
Last year we raised over €1,600 from contributions by the Irish tech community and friends, which went up to over €2,800 with match-funding from Workday (host). You can read about last year's quiz and other past quizzes here: https://irishgeeks.github.io
