Talk Title:

Cracking JWT tokens: a tale of magic, Node.JS and parallel computing

Talk Intro:

Learn how you can use some JavaScript/Node.js black magic to crack JWT tokens and impersonate other users or escalate privileges. Just add a pinch of ZeroMQ, a dose of parallel computing, a 4 leaf clover, mix everything applying some brute force and you'll get a powerful JWT cracking potion!

Second Speaker:

Remo H. Jansen is Senior Web Engineer at Stellwagen Technology with several years of experience in web-based technologies. He previously worked at the Aon Centre for Innovation and Analytics (ACIA) in Dublin developing analysis applications for the corporate insurance industry. Prior to that, he worked in web development roles in the fund industry, most recently with MoneyMate Group. Remo was awarded the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award in 2016 and 2017 and he is the author of “Learning TypeScript” and the technical reviewer of “Mastering TypeScript” by Packt Publishing. Remo is also an active member of the TypeScript and Open Source communities and the organizer of the Dublin Open Source and Dublin TypeScript user groups.
