Welcome to Dublin UX the festive edition. This December we invite you to tuck into our Selection Box as we gather on December 3rd along with four incredible speakers over three talks.
We will open the doors at the earlier time of 5:30pm and will kick off with our first speaker at 6:45pm. In December, Zendesk returns as sponsor and venue host. We thank everyone at Zendesk for making Dublin UX possible.
RSVP to confirm your attendance. As we have strict numbers on the night, a confirmed spot will be required. Each guest will need to RSVP separately. For building security, we will require your full name when registering. RSVPs will be shut down 24 hours in advance, it will not be possible to exchange your spot or free it up after this point, so please update well in advance if you know you can not make it to give another member a chance.
Due to no-shows we do over allocate tickets. Please arrive early to avoid any disappointment.

Our Eternal (Digital) Afterlife
By Alberta Soranzo,
E2E Service Design & Systems Thinking Director at Lloyds Banking Group.
Pride of Place: service based solution
By Amy Sexton - Shortlisted NCAD graduate
Council estates are often burdened with reputations that their communities don’t have the opportunity to change. These communities that are the heart of Dublin had been neglected for decades and isolated from the surrounding area community; with an on-going broken relationship with the local council. During the talk Amy will discuss Pride of Place, her purposed service based solution to give back ownership to these communities while adhering to council goals.
The Digital Healthcare Revolution.
By Frank Long and Henry Poskitt
There is no industry sector more ripe for digital transformation than Healthcare. Spiralling costs, inefficient systems, out dated infrastructure, queues and understaffing, broken patient experiences. After all, healthcare is the only business where the customer actually comes last. What we need is Healthcare 2.0 - more digital technology, more connected devices, more ubiquitous monitoring, AI driven logic, some patient apps even. In short, we need some design heroes to ride in and UX-ify the sh1t out of it!. Its time to disrupt healthcare, stand back and let the digital magic begin...
Frank Long is Owner Director of Frontend.com, and a survivor of the original (and so far best) dot com crash. Having started in UX design in the 1990s (yes you read that right!) he is practically immune to interface poisoning and can remember a time when user tests often started with the question "have you ever used the internet? Y N”. Before UX, Frank designed 27 microwave ovens.
Henry Poskitt is Owner Director of Frontend.com , he spends much of his time undoing the trouble caused by Frank at talks like this. He also likes to answer very hard technical questions during the Q+A session, and is extremely convincing on topics on which he is uncertain - a good skill to have.
Frontend.com is a UX design consultancy based in Dublin, with an international client base. For over two decades we have shaped how everyday people interact with a broad spectrum of new technologies and services. For the last 10 years we have focused on healthcare with clients such as Amgen, Accu-Chek, Merck, Mindmaze, Roche, among others. In 2016, Frontend initiated a social project on the future of Migrant healthcare in association with the UN and in collaboration with industry leaders and students from third level colleges across the country.
