Native JavaScript Modules, React Accessibility & Ember Ghost

Details
Hey all,
we’ve three awesome talks for you at our August meetup. In no particular order we have:
“Native JavaScript modules - import {Browsers, NodeJs}; export {production};” - Serg Hospodarets, https://twitter.com/malyw
All the modern browsers support native JavaScript modules, and it’s a perfect time to start using them, which will change the way we are bundling the JavaScript using Webpack, Rollup, and other bundlers, and how the code is executed.
We will take a look how they work, what is the level of support in the browsers and Node.js, plus main findings and gotchas on the way of publishing and using them in production.
Looking into examples, we will understand the native modules features, performance details and lazy loading JS modules techniques.
“Accessibility on React in big projects” - Diego Mendonca, https://twitter.com/diego_dafm
Although we have great technologies to build apps to engage more users, we may not be fighting for 100% of users if we are not providing accessible applications.
In this section, we will have a look in the W3C and ARIA's Authoring Practices and how to apply them to a high-load Web enterprise project. Followed by the challenges of applying accessibility into consolidated applications, UX/UI solutions, automation, testing, plugins and tooling.
“Announcing Ember Ghost - the simplest static blog system” - Chris Manson, https://twitter.com/real_ate
With the recent release of the Ember Guides Ember app, Chris was curious to see what else he could do with the same technology. Thanks to Ember it was surprisingly easy to get this system up and running and now it's easy for you to use too
We are also currently looking for a sponsor so if you or your company would like to help out in anyway just get in touch.
As ever, we have a limited capacity venue so we have to set a cap on the number of RSVPs and will have a waitlist in operation.
Doors to the Intercom office will open at 6.30pm.
Thanks,
Chris & Pat
