Hey all,

we have some great talks lined up for you on the night.

Improving performance with CSS Grid, PWA, and a few other things - Sheldon Led (https://twitter.com/sheldonled)
Description: As web developers we’re constantly seeking ways to mitigate the network friction and deliver web applications faster, but there’s much more to be done to improve user’s experience on the web. This talk shows how to use what’s new on the web to get your web app even faster.

Speed up your web-app deployment with Vue, Docker, BitBucket and .net core - Justin Howard (https://www.linkedin.com/in/nodejustin/)
Description:
This short demonstration will show you how quickly you can get a .net core hosted Vue application running, then built into a Docker container using a BitBucket pipeline and deployed onto a Digital Ocean droplet. All from a single Git Push.
After the demo you will have a good idea of how Continuous Integration and DevOps doesn’t have to be too challenging, and you can start using the ideas with your own web apps, I’ll also be throwing in a real life example of a site live in Production.

A Look At WebAssembly - Adam Kelly (https://twitter.com/adamisntdead)
In this talk I will be looking at WebAssembly and what it can do for you. I will speak about the strong and weakpoints of using it in your apps, along with some things to keep in mind performance wise. Lastly, I will show a few resources and tools which make using WebAssembly in your apps and learning more about it easier

We are also currently looking for a sponsor so if you or your company would like to help out in anyway just get in touch.

As ever, we have a limited capacity venue so we have to set a cap on the number of RSVPs and will have a waitlist in operation.

Doors to the Intercom office will open at 6.30pm.

Thanks,
Chris, Ingrid & Pat
