A Blockchain in JavaScript & Visualising Data with D3

we have two great talks for you this month.

This talk focuses on learning how Blockchains work by developing one. Toychain is a simplified Blockchain implementation that is analogous to Bitcoin. We will walk through the code behind this Blockchain as a means of explaining the various concepts involved in Blockchain implementations in general. Toychain features a distributed ledger, secured by proof of work and a gossip protocol to update nodes on the state of the chain.

Visualising Data with D3 - Niall Ryan, https://www.linkedin.com/in/niallryan2/
D3 is an open source JavaScript library for visualising data using web standards. This talk will give an introduction into D3 and discuss appropriate use cases. This talk will also show how D3 can be leveraged to create unique user experiences. The main goal of this talk is to encourage and inspire you to try D3 when visualising data!
