Important to know

• Bring a laptop, with a recent version of R (3.4.4 or 3.5.0)
• Try to install packages before you arrive. (The venue should have WIFI, but it is always a good idea to prepare for WiFi quality issues at hotels.)
• Please have a USB key handy, in case WIFI goes down.

Topics will include

• Fundamentals of R
• Using Jupyter Notebooks and / or RMarkdown
• tidy data management : dplyr and tidyr
• working with dates and text : lubridate ,hms and stringr
• useful tools for statistics : recipes, forcats, broom and modelr
• tools for importing data: readr, readxl and haven

IMPORTANT
ggplot2 and associated libraries will not be looked at in detail (i.e at max 15-20 minutes).
Web Tools such as httr and rvest will also not be covered.
