What we're about

Dundee Mountain Club is Dundee's most active mountain sports club for mountaineering, hillwalking/hiking, climbing, ski touring, mountain biking and more!

The club holds a monthly weekend meet, typically staying at remote mountain huts in stunning locations. We also have frequent day trips and occasionally venture abroad!

We're a sociable bunch who have a weekly pub night where we concoct plans (usually involving mountains!) over a good pint of ale! We also have monthly talks ("Dundee Mountain Chats") - a great event where we share experiences and learn from each other.

Other social events are held throughout the year - dinners, ceilidhs, trips to mountain related talks/films, etc!

See http://www.dundeemountain.club for more info and pics!

Tramping in New Zealand with Markus and Janis

Avertical World Climbing Centre

Come along to our monthly informal chat in the upstairs café of Avertical World climbing centre. This is an opportunity to meet other club members for a chat, and a hot chocolate :-) Each month we also invite a club member or guest speaker with a topic and this month we are lucky to have two ex-members from New Zealand, Markus and Janis, who will tell us more about 'Tramping in New Zealand' (tramping is the NZ word for hiking!). There's nothing these two don't know about the mountains of NZ so it's sure to be an interesting chat! All welcome, no need to be a member of DMC to come and chat! Rough timings: 7.30pm doors open, get a hot chocolate, mingle and chat 7.45pm slideshow and talk about New Zealand 8.15pm general chatting and blethering P.S. This event is advertised elsewhere so there will be more people attending than are listed here.
