What we’re about
Open minded people willing to discuss anything and everything to do with - What is the truth? In recent events like 9-11 - to historical events - eg. Jesus - did the Crucifixion take place? About the lack of basic values being emphasized in today's values - like tell the truth and not lies, nor pass on lies. To not have heated arguments but cool calm collected listing of facts which illustrate where the truth lies - and what is clearly impossible - that can never happen. To recognise that which should be repeated - and that which should not. etc etc etc. The reason why the 'truth' is not present everywhere - is simply that people are not doing their jobs properly throughout society, etc etc. Truth has become the elephant in the room - that most people do not want to talk about? Why? Because something other than the truth has become adopted into society instead. With religion(s) this can be seen very clearly - in that all authorities have their own agenda present - they look after themselves first and foremost - and they only put on a 'front/fascade' pretending they are truthful in what they do, etc. Religions do this especially -the older religions have done this for centuries - and have become entrenched, so much so they believe in their own rhetoric. You have only to ask the right question(s) and demand an adequate answer to see through their fascade. Does God exist? No - it only exist in the human imagination. Then who created this universe, etc etc. There must be a creator? There's the answer of - the 'Creation' created this universe etc etc - that it's never an entity, but a process. Religions explanations for God - takes some aspects from the 'Creation' to graft it onto the 'God' theory - which makes no real sense at all, except it is a mish mash of differing concepts thrown in together - that is not logical nor reasonable at all. The important thing is to recognise this incoherence that is present - and that the rhetoric that religions say - is evidence that it is outdated and archaic. The public has moved onto better things - demanding something more worthwhile to believe in. Christianity is as bad as the other religions. They all do the same thing. These are my own personal views - and I don't expect others to agree right away. Maybe after some discussion - some points may be conceded to? Those who don't want the truth - already believe in something they think is the truth - and simply do not wish to change their mind ever. This is typical of religious people - but can also be true of anyone else - even if they are logical, intellectual or whatever.
I do welcome a discussion about the Bible and it's history. About Christian concepts, etc. The positives everyone can agree with - to be compassionate, to help the needy, poor, sick, etc etc is all worthwhile.
But the way to unite everyone - is to deliver what everyone wants. A fair and just society in which everyone is treated equally and has equal rights.
The way towards a peaceful world - is to recognise the true nature of violence. That the use of violence never solves anything. That we have to outlaw wars - recognise that wars are insane and horrific. That no one wins in any war - just revisit WW2 and see how the victors fare today, and those defeated? We do not review WW2 accurately today - because of secrets still kept from WW2. Propaganda was used on both sides to fuel the war. It is never valid to become involved in foreign wars. If the superpowers kept their distance and did not add their support the minor wars would not have flared into bigger wars - ie. Korean, Vietnam, etc.
We have to recognise the stupidity of the superpowers when they seek only to extend their power and influence over others. That the development of the atomic and hydrogen bombs are acts of stupidity and not of technological advancement.
The way towards the truth - is not complicated at all. I think it's the shortest most direct path. But because the truth is not spoken that often - it may sound harsh, strange? blunt and not what you expect at all? It depends on what you already believe in and whether your own values are true values to believe in?
People do not say the truth - because it may threaten their public image, their job prospects - and they don't wish to cause waves at all - with their fellow peers and so on. People who want the truth and respect it - are fed up with all the crap that is promoted as being true - but are not .... World leaders (and others like them) are not concerned with the truth at all - because they care too much about themselves to want to jeopardise all of that - their wealth, reputation, and so on... The truth is short, sharp, simple and to the point. And you can get simple yes and no answers to sort out what is true and what is not?
What I write here - is of course - my own personal opinion as to what the 'truth' is. I fully think you will not agree with me at all - and that is fine, but if you would consider some of what I have written, you may concede that perhaps I do present a reasonable and logical view of the universe, etc - and that it is not so crazy after all? That if you will take into consideration - say a timeline of millions of years and of an area of space of as many light years - what becomes possible? Would not civilisations advance from primitive into so-called advanced? What technologies would become available - and what would their societies/etc be like? We have seen incredible advances here made in the last 100 or so years - and in the last 30? so years it was the case that 16k of memory was the size of a cigarette packet has dwindled down to the size of your little finger nail that holds 128gigs of information - with the cost being about the same.
If only there were advances made in our human society that will address some very very old problems we still have. The great differences we do have in our 'have and have not' society - and the lack of intelligence and courtesy in basic human behaviour overall. That we are still at war with ourselves - in all kinds of manner throughout our society - and don't represent an overall unified enlightened viewpoint.
