What we're about

This is a group for "neurodiverse" adults to meet and spend time with each other in a non-judgmental setting. By "neurodiverse", I mean conditions like: Autism/Asperger's, ADHD, Tourettes, Sensory Processing Issues, Dyspraxia, OCD, etc.

Oftentimes society makes judgements on a person's intelligence or goodness based on neurological quirks in their wiring. In this group, we embrace neurodiversity and believe that beauty exists in each of us, and that intelligence, creativity, goodness, and friendliness can get overlooked in more typical social settings as society can pay for attention to so-called "dysfunction" rather than more important things.

The activities will be dictated by the interests of the people in the group. Possible activities could be meeting up for coffee, having themed get-togethers, playing board games, or exploring local activities. Since some of us have sensory issues and can get overwhelmed by too much new stimulation at once, some activities may be capped to a specific number of people.

This is an inclusive group expressly open to individuals of all abilities, races, backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities, and disparaging comments about any of these groups will be grounds for dismissal.
