What we’re about
Meet other locals to discuss your spiritual path. Share your most profound and transformational personal experiences, in a safe, non-judgmental environment and talk about ways to incorporate spirituality into your life. Every one brings the truth of their own experiences... sharing your truth with others in a caring group environment will change you and them. Durham RT IANDS (Int'l Assn for Near-Death Studies) is open to people of all faiths and cultures. We look forward to meeting you!
Durham RT IANDS is a meetup group that has Guest Speakers or video/discussion sharing events on 3rd Fridays all year long (with occasional bonus events). Events start at 7:00 pm at the Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (ERUUF) Care Bldg. 4907 Garrett Rd, (near 15-501).
If attending a speaker event, the entry fee is free for IANDS members and $5 for non-members; video/sharing events are by donation (workshops or occasional special bonus events are priced separately). As a legal affiliate of IANDS, a 501c3 non-profit organization, donations to Durham RT IANDS are tax deductible.

Hawaiian Islands IANDS Group Leader and Near-Death Experiencer, Shaun Lether will share on Nov. 21st via Zoom at the Durham IANDS meeting how through a series of Spiritually Transformative Experiences (STEs) and Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) with their powerful after-effects, Shaun Lether woke up to his true spiritual nature and discovered his life purpose. That purpose did not revolve around his four business degrees or accomplishments in marketing, business, and real estate. Rather, his soul’s purpose centered around mind, body, and spirit healing, and being of service to others.
In 2004 while flying from Los Angeles to Hawaii, Shaun had an abdominal hernia incarcerate and strangulate which caused his intestines to begin to die. Four days later he was rushed into an emergency surgery...
Please join us to hear his NDEs and STEs.
