What we're about

This group is for anyone who has a passion for American Sign Language (ASL). We welcome all adults who are Deaf, hard of hearing (HH), hearing, students, parents, teachers, interpreters, or any community member looking for an opportunity to connect with other signers! We offer a casual and fun environment, opportunities to get together for conversation, laughs and fellowship, make new friends, socialize, relax and enjoy each other's company, as well as having the privilege of helping others strengthen their ASL skills.

Hi guys - Lisa just brought it to my attention that the Deaf Chat Coffee in Raleigh is Saturday. I do not mean to detract from that event's attendance. However, I like to drive as little as possible so will be staying in Durham this weekend. If you were not going to go to Raleigh, but still wanted to practice ASL and were already in Durham (I'm leaning towards Saturday at the Farmer's Market lawn) then this informal "ASL Hour" would be for you. Considering all that - is there any interest?

While it may only be a few of us, let's meet tomorrow morning on the lawn at the Durham Farmer's Market at 10:30 (toward the left of the pavilion, not the center where all the vehicles are parked). Bring a blanket and we'll just chat in ASL for an hour or so.
