“Efficiency” is the new “Precision” - The key AI performance indicator

Based on natural language understanding (NLU) implementations covering different use cases like semantic search, business process automation and BI, Francisco Webber will demonstrate that the efficiency of the solution strategy is more indicative for success than the degree of precision that is achievable within each of the applied machine learning steps.

In his talk, Francisco will illustrate why the representation of information is more important than the performance of the algorithm. By generating a powerful representation of text, the applied algorithm can be simplified: the better the data representation the simpler the Boolean operator one can use.

Improving AI methods for individual use cases does not seem to be a reliable path to long-term business success; one-size-solves-all approaches, however, will be able to provide the required efficiency for sustainable business success.
