Introduction
COVID-19 has changed the landscape of how we are working – but in the context of cybersecurity, it is unavoidable not to mention it. One of the biggest drivers of cloud computing has been that “remote work is here to stay”.

Due to new work environment requirements during and after the pandemic, organizations that were not in the cloud are now likely to either be partially or fully migrated into the cloud, think of Microsoft Azure. This changes the threat-landscape of an organization significantly.

Organizations bring security methodologies, which have worked for years, with them. Unfortunately, these methodologies do not always apply these days in the current Azure environment.

About the session
Challenges confronting Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) are evolving beyond technology, cybersecurity, and controls. How can modern cybersecurity professionals strengthen their programs within organizations in the face of these challenges?

In this session, Alexander Kappel, Gaurav Gupta, and Artjom Meijer from Devoteam Netherlands will give you an overview of the Cybersecurity Mesh Architecture (hereafter called: CSMA) program. This program leverages data to improve decision-making. This helps Integrate cybersecurity into the overall business (Azure) with shareable results. Curious how?

Implementation
Adopting CSMA can help organizations increase their security posture. In the implementing shift, we see four different security foundational layers on which we will share information:
● Security Analytics;
● Decentralized Security Policy Enforcement;
● Centralized Security Administration;
● Consolidated dashboards.

Hands-on part
After the presentation, you will get a chance to get hands-on work on this topic. We will see how Zero Trust principles help in threat protection using Azure Monitor, Identity & Access Management, and Sentinel.
