Welcome back!

For those of us who were in Valencia, you all know how amazing it was to get back together to in-person conferences and feel the warmth of the community (and also of the weather ;)). The cloud native people are strong and resilient and two of years of isolation didn't put a dent into our willingness to connect and grow.

We are also going to be back with an in-person meetup and establish a regular schedule moving forward; we are also welcoming anyone who is willing to help organising events in Amsterdam and beyond (we want every corner of the country represented!). Please get in touch on the CNCF #netherlands slack channel for any questions (we're also looking for co-organisers, specially in other cities). Please also don't forget to join the official CNCF community here: https://community.cncf.io/amsterdam/

For this Thursday event, we'll have a great speaker (will confirm in a couple of days) and we'll host a roundtable around the future of the meetup, so if you want to contribute, come forward and speak up! Also, we will allow for short, spontaneous 5-minutes lighting talks (no sales pitches please), just bring your slides or improvise it, we love short user stories!

And if you cannot make it in person, worry not! We'll stream everything thru our Youtube channel.

As always, we will start early (5.30pm) and we'll have food and drinks, feel free to leave a comment if you have special dietary requirements, we'll accommodate your needs.

The agenda will be roughly as follow:

16:00 Kubernetes 101! You can drop by before the meetup, we will give a free introduction to Kubernetes so you can follow more later!

17.30: doors open
18:00: First talk (TBA)
18.45: Food+roundtable and Kubecon recap
20:00: More food and mingling
20.30: Silent disco!

Stay tuned for the talk announcement, but rest assured it's going to be great (and quite technical!).

The event will be hosted at Cloud Pirates, a co-working space for cloud native and DevOps engineers in Amsterdam.

PS: Photography/Video Consent. We will be taking photos and videos during the event and will use these photos and videos for social media, and promotional materials. By coming to the meet-up, you give us your consent to take photos and videos of you.

COVID-19 safety measures

Event will be indoors
We follow local laws so we don't impose any restrictions to attend the meetup. However, it will be great for your own and for other' safety if you could self-test few hours before the meetup.
The event host is instituting the above safety measures for this event. Meetup is not responsible for ensuring, and will not independently verify, that these precautions are followed.
