This is a drop-in session, no need to book. Just come at 9:20 AM as we need to start at 9:30 sharp. If you haven't done Dynamic before I will give you a quick demonstration before we start - it's very easy to learn. You need to come to the BACK DOOR of Essence as reception is not open at this time of the morning. Cost £5.00. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRXcbXnLwvM Osho Dynamic Meditation is an active meditation, meaning that the state of meditation is achieved by breathing, catharsis and movement. Many people say that they have problems with the traditional sitting meditations because they are unable to sit quietly and silence their mind due to stress, worry and over-stimulation. With Dynamic Meditation, so long as you follow the instructions, your mind will become silent without trying and the state of meditation will be achieved. Dynamic Meditation is usually performed in a group although, as it is an individual experience, you don’t interact with the others around you. There are five stages with music playing for each stage (apart from the fourth) described as follows; First Stage (10 Minutes) Chaotic breathing – breath through the nose, concentrating always on exhalation. Second Stage (10 Minutes) Catharsis – let yourself go! release all your repressed emotions! scream, shout, cry, jump, shake, dance, sing, laugh! Third Stage (10 Minutes) Jumping – with raised arms, jump up and down shouting the mantra Hoo Hoo Hoo! Fourth Stage (15 Minutes) Silence – stop and freeze and be a witness to everything that is happening to you. Fifth Stage (15 Minutes) Dancing – celebrate the great feeling you now have through dance! just let yourself move to the music and celebrate freedom. The session lasts one hour in total and, as it is active, it is better to wear loose sports clothing. Walk in feeling stressed, walk out feeling like you don’t have a care in the world!

What is this Meetup Group about?

This is a group for anyone interested in Osho Dynamic Meditation - all welcome whether you have done Dynamic many times before or would just like to try it out.

Who should join?

Anyone interested in active meditation. If you have done Dynamic Mediation before then you will know exactly what to expect. If you haven't then it is important to realise that this is NOT a sitting meditation but an active meditation, meaning that the state of meditation is achieved by breathing, catharsis and movement. Many people say that they have problems with the traditional sitting meditations because they are unable to sit quietly and silence their mind due to stress, worry and overstimulation. If you have experienced this problem then this group is for you!

What members can expect of the group?

We are a very welcoming and understanding group and create a space for genuine expression of feelings and peace to achieve the real state of meditation.

What we expect of members?

To be total! what you put in equals what you get out! if you put every last bit of you into Dynamic and are willing to get in touch with your feelings and express them completely, then you will walk out feeling like Buddha.
