Jimmy Orifice returns to give tips on improving your rigging to catch more. Fishing expert and long-time owner of Jimmy O's Bait Shop in the Black Rock area of Bridgeport, Fairfield. Jimmy O's last time with us had everyone fishing off a striper run off the deck of Port 5. Jimmy is always exciting and a not to missed presenter on better fishing tools and techniques. CHUCK McMATH speaks on Kayak Angling. Learn the wonders of reaching those spots you always relished but could not wade to. Kayaks are highly maneuverable and stable providing a great mobile base for fishing. Follow up the lecture with our Kayak Trip on June 22 at Hope Lake in Shelton. We promise you will leave the meeting with more fishing & conservation knowledge than you came in with. The meeting is also a great opportunity to meet new fishing buddies and learn of Nutmeg Trout's future fishing trips for members. Join us. KAYAK & SHORE FISHING TRIP to SHELTON's Hope Lake

Our 3rd Annual Kayak Fishing Trip. Bring your kayak or canoe and join us for a fun day on the water. This year we head to the lakes at Hope Lake on Nell's Rock Road in Shelton. Bring your favorite fresh water fishing gear. Hope Lake hold a huge variety of fish, including salmon!, offering you a thrilling day on the water. Hope Lake has easy access and also offers great shoreline fishing if you don't have a kayak or canoe and still want to join us. Life vests are required for kayakers and canoists as per state law. Trip subject to weather. When RSVPing email to [masked] your Contact Information (Name, Telephone Number, & Email Address) so we can contact you in case of weather changes. This trip is in conjunction with Trout Unlimited's Nutmeg Trout, who is signing people up at meetings too, so the trip may fill up before RSVPs show here. RSVP early to hold your spot.
