Weed Warriors will do weeding, trail trimming and erosion control in the Elfin Forest in Los Osos. We perform other tasks as needed. Weed Warriors will be served cookies after the work party and new volunteers will receive a Weed Warrior badge. It is important to arrive at 9:00 to receive equipment and instructions. Please dress for wind, fog, or sun. Layers work well. Wear sturdy shoes, long pants and sleeves and bring work gloves. Meet at the north end of 15th Street in Los Osos at the Elfin Forest entrance. We will follow the path that winds around and up the hills, among the lichen-covered rocks and great views of SLO and the Edna Valley, while learning about our beautiful local greenbelt. The trailhead is located at the intersection of Woodbridge St. and Corrida Dr. in San Luis Obispo.   • Volunteer at Filipponi Ranch Winery

    This August, ECOSLO is holding a concert fundraiser at Filipponi Ranch Winery in SLO. In order to get the space ready for the event, we're asking for 5-6 volunteers to help do some creek clean up, a little tree trimming and general yard maintenance. Volunteers will receive $5 off their ECOSLO concert ticket for the August 10 event. When: Saturday, June 8 from 9am-12pm Where: 1850 Calle Joaquin, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405. Turn on to the dirt road BEFORE you get to the little yellow house tasting room. Follow the dirt road until it ends at the clean up location, about a 1/4 mile. Check in with Janine Butler.
