Hello fellow Ableton enthusiasts of NYC, come join us at The Garnish Music Production School NY next Sunday May 28 for a NYC Ableton User Group meetup. The focus of this meetup will be on discussing songwriting and coming up with creative ideas through sampling and manipulating sounds in Ableton.

Presenters:
Matthew Wang is a 21 year old producer, songwriter, music technologist, and guitarist based out of NYC. In the live sound world, he has worked for/with bands including the Foo Fighters and Coheed and Cambria and also teaches Ableton lessons in the city as well as online on his YouTube channel, w1wang, that has over 1 million views. Even though he is primarily a guitarist, he is also a major synth nerd and makes sample packs of various analog and digital synths in his free time. He is also currently a junior at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music and is interning at Hans Zimmer's studio Remote Control Productions later this summer in LA.
Michael Hatsis aka Banginclude (https://soundcloud.com/banginclude) is a Brooklyn, New York based producer and teacher who specializes in all things Ableton. The former Dubspot instructor and course developer cut his teeth in music with the first version of Live and continues to use it in innovative ways today. Michael specializes in creating music for the dance floor and has used Ableton Live to do everything from sound design and mixing to live performances and DJing, as well as production, Max for Live programming, and visuals. As an artist, Michael aka Banginclude has released music for Buraka Som Sistema’s world renowned global bass label Enchufada, as well as Daniel Haacksman’s innovative Man Recordings. Recently, he released a Remix of Ralfi Pagan’s Latin Soul for the legendary Fania Records, which was the leading track on the EP. In addition, Michael is the co-host of NY’s biggest monthly experimental electronic music and controller hacking party, the Warper Party (http://www.warperparty.com/).
